Both label pairs are provided so you can choose the wording you use with your class while keeping the same picture cards and sorting activity.
How to Use
Print at 100% / Actual Size. Cut out the cards and choose one pair of sorting labels.
Hand out the picture cards. Invite children to sort their cards and explain the action shown and why they chose that category.
Discuss a helpful alternative for each poor or unhelpful choice. Talk about a safe next action the child could choose.
Remove the poor-choice cards. Name the remaining good choices as “our preschool jobs,” connecting the activity back to Be Responsible: “Do your job.”
Why It Works
The illustrations provide concrete examples for naming and discussing classroom choices. Children take part by sorting a card and explaining their thinking. Discussing an alternative adds a practical next step, and ending with the good choices gives the group a shared set of examples of what responsibility looks like in the classroom.
