Preschool Snack Recipe Cards
Quick Answer
Bring hands-on cooking into your classroom with 10 picture recipe cards! Children scoop, stir, spread, mash, and shake as they follow four illustrated steps to make a snack with an adult. Simple watercolor pictures and numbered directions support participation while children practice following directions, measuring, and using tools.
What’s Inside
This 16-page printable PDF includes 10 full-page recipe cards, a cover page, a teacher’s guide, and four adult preparation pages.
Recipes include:
Berry Banana Yogurt
Banana Roll-Ups
Apple Overnight Oats
Rainbow Fruit Salad
Avocado Sandwich
Cinnamon Banana Dip
Shake-and-Make Butter
Pumpkin Pudding
Rainbow Pasta Salad
Mild Peach Salsa
Each recipe card includes pictured ingredients, amounts, four numbered steps, and a brief grown-up preparation note. Adult preparation pages provide tool lists, ingredient checks, and directions for preparing food before children begin.
How to Use
Print the recipe cards and laminate them for repeated use if desired. Choose a recipe, read its adult preparation notes, and gather the ingredients and tools. Display the card where children can see it, model each step, and invite them to help make the snack.
Offer premeasured ingredients or support with tools as needed. Talk together about what comes next, how ingredients change, and what children notice as they mix and prepare their food.
No oven or microwave is needed. An adult cooks the pasta ahead of time, and the overnight oats need to chill before serving. Most recipes make one child’s snack; butter and pumpkin pudding make shared batches.
