Turn the learning cards you already use into a simple hide-and-seek game. Hide a pickle beneath a card, say the rhyme together, and let children take turns naming letters, numbers, shapes, or colors as they search.

Letter, number, shape, and color cards are not included. Use cards you already have and choose a pickle that fits completely underneath.

How to Use

Print and cut out the pickle pieces. Arrange a few learning cards face up and hide one pickle beneath a card while children close their eyes.

Say the rhyme together, then invite a child to choose a card and identify what is on it before looking underneath. Continue taking turns until someone finds the pickle, then hide it again for another round.

Start with fewer cards, add more as children are ready, or practice letter sounds instead of letter names. Change the cards to match the skills your group is learning.
