This resource set provides three engaging activities that introduce your child to the concept of measurement in a fun and interactive way.Our Measure & Explore Trio is not your typical measurement lesson - it's an exciting journey into the world of sizes and lengths! Each activity uses non-standard measurements (measure with blocks, Legos, Cherrios, paperclips, crayons) to encourage children to think creatively and understand the relative sizes of different objects:1️⃣ Block Measurement Activity: Use the non-standard measurement of the pictured blocks on the first page to measure the length of different items. This activity helps visualize length and reinforces comparison skills.2️⃣ Road Measurement Activity: Your child can explore measurement in a fun and creative way by using non-standard measurements like Cherrios, paper clips, or unifix cubes. They measure each road on the paper and write the number in the box to the right. For continuous use, laminate the sheet and use a wet erase marker or slide it into a dry erase pocket.3️⃣ Room Measurement Activity: Send your child on a measurement hunt around the room with these handy measurement cards! There are eight cards in total, each one featuring everyday items like a backpack, book, marker, table, shoes, scissors, chair, and a glue bottle. Your child can use non-standard measurements to measure each item and gain practical experience with measurement concepts.
