High Five Christian Values & Character
High Five Christian Values & Character
Transform everyday practice into a fun, interactive routine with High Five Reviews. This resource provides a hands-on, multisensory way for preschoolers to reinforce any skill—whether it’s recognizing shapes, numbers, letters, or other preschool concepts. By combining visual cues, vocal repetition, and a simple physical action (a “high five”), children engage multiple learning pathways at once, making the review process both memorable and effective.
What’s Inside
Thematic Cards: Each set focuses on a single skill or concept, visually representing it in a clear, child-friendly design.
High Five Hand: A designated spot where kids “high five” after saying the phrase aloud.
Optional Add-Ons: Place a recordable button nearby, allowing children to hear and repeat the phrase spoken aloud.
How to Use
Print & Prepare: After printing, slip the page into a dry-erase sleeve and attach it to a wall using Alien Tape for a sturdy, quick-to-change display. Another method it to laminate and secure with Velcro dots.
Place a Button Nearby (Optional): Add a recordable button to help children hear and repeat the phrase.
Establish a Routine: Whenever children pass by, have them “tap and say”—they name the skill on the card, then give the high five area a firm tap or slap.
Rotate or Update: Switch out cards daily or weekly, depending on your lesson goals, so students see new material without losing the familiarity of the routine.
Why It Works
Multisensory Engagement: Children see the concept, speak it aloud, and physically tap—reinforcing learning through sight, sound, and touch.
Daily Practice: Placing it in a high-traffic spot encourages frequent review without taking extra class time.
Promotes Independence: Students quickly learn the “tap and say” routine, initiating the practice on their own—no constant adult prompting needed.
Educational Benefits
Reinforces Key Skills: Repetition cements knowledge, from basic preschool concepts to more advanced readiness skills.
Builds Confidence: Children feel a sense of accomplishment each time they complete a “tap and say” cycle, gradually mastering the material.
Supports Fine Motor Coordination: The high-five action itself, while simple, aids in hand-eye coordination and physical engagement.
High Five Reviews seamlessly fit into any preschool routine, offering a lively, interactive way to reinforce essential concepts. Let children “tap, say, and celebrate” their growing knowledge—one playful high five at a time!
