Obstacle Course Signs

Obstacle Course Signs
Quick Answer
Create an obstacle course with clear picture signs that show children where to go and how to move. These printable signs help preschoolers and kindergarteners practice balance, coordination, and following directions using equipment you already have.
What’s Inside
12 illustrated activity signs: Step Over, Crawl Under, Crawl Through, Jump In, Jump Across, Hop, Balance, Weave, Walk Around, Toss In, Roll Through, and Bear Walk
Start and Finish signs
Three direction signs: This Way, Turn Left, and Turn Right
Two pairs of footprint markers
Station number cards 1–12
Teacher’s guide with equipment suggestions for every activity
Each activity sign includes a large watercolor illustration, a bold movement label, and a short direction.
How to Use
Print on 8.5 × 11-inch paper at actual size. Trim the large signs along the dotted line to create 8.5-inch squares, and cut apart the smaller markers. Laminate for repeated use if desired.
Choose three to five stations to begin. Set out your equipment, display the matching signs, and demonstrate each movement. Add arrows, footprints, or number cards to show the route. Rearrange the signs to create a different course, or use individual signs for movement stations.
The teacher’s guide includes simple setups using items such as floor tape, cones, a hoop, a table, and a beanbag with a basket.
