Quick Answer

Number Hunt Homework gives families a simple way to practice recognizing and naming numbers 0–10 during three short playtimes. Children choose a number, look for it around their home, and say its name. Large number models help them compare what they find.

What’s Inside

This 3-page PDF includes:

  • A teacher cover page with directions, printing tips, and the Preschool Vibes Standard.

  • A keep-at-home family page with numbers 0–10, three activity steps, a “Did You Know?” paragraph about number recognition, and three playtime checkboxes.

  • A second family page with the same activity and a tear-off return slip for the child’s name, date, and family signature.

How to Use

Send home the version that fits your classroom. Circle a number to match a child’s learning goal, or let families choose one for each playtime. They can repeat the same number; finding every number is not required.

Families look in books, on packages, or on a calendar. Children point to a number they find and name it, with an adult joining in when needed. For 10, look for the 1 and 0 together.

If a number is hard to find, an adult can write it on paper and place it where the child can spot it. Then switch roles and let the child hide the paper.

Check one box after each playtime. The keep-at-home page does not need to be returned. With the return-slip version, families sign, cut off, and return only the bottom slip after three playtimes. They keep the activity and “Did You Know?” information for continued practice.
