Quick Answer

Read Together Homework gives families a simple way to share books on three different days. An adult reads aloud while the child joins in, notices pictures, and shares ideas. Children choose the book, and rereading a favorite counts.

What’s Inside

This 3-page PDF includes:

  • A teacher cover page with directions and Preschool Vibes Standards.

  • A keep-at-home family page with a “Did You Know?” paragraph, three illustrated reading tips, sample questions, and three practice checkboxes.

  • A family signature version with the same activity, plus space for the child’s name, date, and family signature.

How to Use

Send home the version that fits your classroom. Families choose a book, read together, and talk about it. Each checkbox records one day of reading together. Children do not need to read independently.

The keep-at-home page says, “Keep this page at home and continue practicing. It does not need to be returned.” The signature version asks families to sign and return it after three reading days.

Preschool Vibes Standards

  • 4A. We can enjoy books and participate during read-alouds.

  • 4B. We can talk about stories, characters, and pictures using details.

  • 3D. We can ask and answer questions to build understanding.
